Call for on-demand requests for beamtimes (2020A)

SPring-8 MX beamlines are now accepting beamtime requests of BL26B1, BL26B2, BL32XU, BL41XU, BL45XU. In principle, beamtime will be allocated on the first-come basis.

Procedure:

  1. Select a beamline.
  2. Send an email to the following address. Please attach the two forms (surveysample info) when you apply, and specify the beamline and the date.
In the case of proprietary research proposal, it is unnecessary to provide sample information.

The minimum beamtime for each beamline is as follows.

  • BL41XU : 0.25shift (2 hours).
  • BL45XU : 0.25shift (2 hours). Automatic measurement available
  • BL26B1 : 1shift (8 hours).
  • BL26B2 : 1shift (8 hours). Remote access available
  • BL32XU : 1.5shift (12 hours). *0.25 shift (2 hours) only automatic measurement without visit.

For automatic measurements, we may start data collection whenever your sample arrives at SPring-8. Therefore, we will not fix strict experimental schedule. It also depends on the state of users' requests.
